Including Images
|
I
have written these instuctions
so you can include your image in the forum
using Macintosh OS X.
First you need a web site that you can use to upload your image.
It
has been suggested that you use a service like UploadIt.org
to host your image files, because it is free.
Click
on picture to got to UploadIt.org
opens
in a new window

The best image formats are jpeg, gif and png. Jpegs are for photos and screen
shots,
gifs are for graphic (solid color images) and png are an new format and used
less often.
Macintosh screen capture creates images not useable on the web but you can open
them in Preview and export them as another format. Here are the instructions.
|
Also
available for FREE, is Toy Viewer image editing software.
Click
here to get more information
opens in a new window
After
you have an account with a web site
and have your images uploaded you can
create a new message or edit an old one.

You
can click the link at the bottom of a forum thread
to get instructions if you forget the specific code for displaying images.

A
new small window will open to show all available codes.
When
you click the "Inseritng Images" link it will take you down the page
to:
the specific image code that will allow you to display your images.
To
use the code you must type exactly the ZBB Code for images:
ie:
Your exact link is placed inside the codes where the "and" is
Remember
you have just started a new message or editing and old one.

As you create or
edit your message, you can open a new web browser window.
In this window you will find the image that you want displayed in the forum
thread.
Now switch back to your forum message where you will use the copied link.
When you finish the message you can click the submit button.
Now to recap
At
this point you will see your message displayed with the image.
If you dont see the image, it is probably due to an extra space
or some mistyped code. If this happens you can click the edit link
and correct the code and link.
